Since 1972, the Canadian Soil Information System (CanSIS) has supported the research activities of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada by building the National Soil DataBase and acting as a source of GIS products and expertise through its

CanSIS provides access to state of the art GIS facilities, as well as database management and custom mapping services for the Canadian Land Resource Network.
