HYDRO coverage
Definition
This coverage represents land, fresh water and marine water within
the mapped area.
Description
The hydro coverage contains those water bodies that were found on
the original soil survey map.
Usage
The hydro coverage is used as a mask to shade areas of the soil
polygons which consist of fresh water or ocean. The TYPE field in
the hydro coverage PAT identifies each polygon, where:

This coverage is used in a manner equivalent to the
HYDRO coverage
available for the SLC
