CAMUI - Climatic Available Moisture Use Index

Climatic Available Moisture Use Index (CAMUI) represents the ratio of actual evapotranspiration to potential evapotranspiration during the growing season. Broadly speaking, CAMUI values were determined by monitoring the daily change in soil moisture over the growing season, taking into consideration precipitation, evapotranspiration and runoff. Various soil moisture holding capacities, determined by the texture of the soil, are taken into consideration. The calculation procedure is outlined in detail by Stewart (1981).
