Eleventh international congress of soil science (1978) tour guidebooks

The World Congress of Soil Science is held every four years under the auspices of the International Union of Soil Sciences in order to advance the knowledge and interests of soil science world-wide. The week long Congress is complemented with pre and/or post congress tours. In 1978 the location of the Congress was Edmonton, Canada. In preparation for the Congress tours were developed in many regions of Canada complete with soil pits where soils were classified and samples taken for analysis. All the material was compiled into tour books which have been made available for reference documentation of soils and land use in Canada.
